Happy Holidays & Thank You!

Dear Friends, thank you so much for all your visits this past year and to those of you who left comments, you’re the best. I am so heartened by the way we all connect over food and cooking, and I’m so happy to belong to this universal village. It is so amazing to realize that you, who are on the other side of the planet, are checking out my recipes. To those of you who cook my recipes and tell me about it, you totally make my day. You make me *smile*. I hope your holidays are full of food, friends and family.

As a side note: I have been posting less because I am moving. Ugh. From a three bedroom house with a double garage, to a two bedroom apartment with a one car garage. I’m sure you get the picture. I’ll post when I can for the next month and then will be back in full force. I have some really terrific recipes in mind for you. I repeat: I am alive and well.

Guess what, I know what you are serving at your holiday table! For the last week, you have consistently viewed these recipes: Your appetizers are BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Three Cheese Stuffed Pinwheels, Spinach Crepe Spirals and Bacon Wrapped Dates. Your entree will be Shrimp and Chicken Gumbo or Grilled Whole Snapper, followed by a cookie buffet of Twisted Cookies, Linzer Cookies, Filled Mini Tart Shells, Checkerboard Cookies and Snickerdoodles. Can I come to your house for dinner?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

    from an email:

Lynne: I stumbled onto your web site and read over many of your recipes. I’m very impressed. I enjoy your stories. It brings me in touch with my family and the family farm I worked on, in the past. I’m not much of a cook and can’t figure out why my cooking doesn’t look and probably taste like yours and other cooks/chefs. Ha-ha. I’ll keep trying. Thanks for sharing your recipes. I think I’ll start with “Edna’s Chili Soup”. Wish me luck.

    Best regards,
