California is one of the fruit capitals of the world, and who better to celebrate its bounty than our Los Angeles Food Bloggers. Whether coming from a local farmers market or from their backyard, our group brought fabulous summer fruit dishes to our July meeting. Salads, chicken, quesadillas, appetizers, sangria and desserts, all with the fruits of the summer season.
Above is a wonderful Nectarine, Hazelnut and Arugula Salad from Adair at Lentil Breakdown. By the way, she just returned from Morocco and has new posts about the markets and food there. Really interesting. Check them out.
Christina from MDR Photography brought a Citrus Sangria that made everyone very happy. *wink*
You can find news and events about Food Bloggers Los Angeles on our FBLA facebook page and more deliciousness on the FBLA Pinterest board.
Tasting Page made Quinoa Salad with Strawberries, Almonds, Feta and Mint, and Ellen from Within My Means brought a Banana and Peanut Salad.
Dorothy from Shockingly Delicious made Raw Strawberry-Vanilla Chia Jam, and Judy from Two Broads Abroad brought Chicken with Curry and Plum Sauce.
Andrew of Eating Rules ran to the farmers market before the meeting to bring us this Fresh Farmers Market Salad with Tomatoes & Cucumbers, while Christina’s Cucina brought Custard Peach Pie.
Patti at Worth the Whisk whipped up Fresh Peach Poundcake, and Judy of Bumbleberry Breeze brought Roasted Peach and Goat Cheese Salad.
Lana at Bibberche made Brandied Peach Compote, and Cathy from She Paused for Thought brought Nectarine Salsa & Whipped Goat Cheese Bruschetta. My photo is a pale version compared to the beautiful one on her blog. Trust me.
Valentina from Cooking on the Weekends brought these Smokey Chipotle Mango Quesadillas, and Erika at In Erika’s Kitchen made Plum Five-Spice Bread Pudding.
Jennifer at Kitchy Cooking made Bourbon Tres Leches Cake, and Nancy from Adventures with Nancy Rose brought Celebration Crepes.
And Lynne, from Cook & Be Merry, brought Lemon Swirl Cheesecake Bars.
I hope you will look at every one of these websites, so you can see their own photographs of these luscious dishes.
I wish you a wonderful Summer Fruit Summer!

Darn, now I’m hungry again! This was one of my favorite potluck themes of all time!
Is it too late to go back for seconds?
Thanks so much for the round-up and especially your great pictures.
That was a fun potluck, indeed:) Thanks for gathering all the recipes together! Your photos are amazing, as always:)
Loved your lemon bars! I had 3!
It already feels cold up here 🙁 I miss summer and it’s not even over yet! Also, this looks like quite the feast!
Love the roundup! Thanks for including a photo of my grandma’s Banana Salad. It was fun to share one of our family’s most sacred recipes with the group.
